| On
the day we want you to relax and not worry about our presence
and we don’t want to be constantly stopping the proceedings
to direct for style and content. This practice session will
allow you to get used to being photographed, to practice
all the posses we both want to capture and to get all of
those niggling little problems out of the way. If this practice
highlights any timing or logistical concerns then we will
suggest that certain shots are taken either before the day
(Pre-Shoot)
or after the day (Post-Shoot)
This is an excellent opportunity to learn
all about the right and wrong way to stand, where the light
is most flattering for you, what to do with your hands and
how to position them, how to place you feet and move your
body to bring the best out of the pose. We will go through
all the moves for each picture you want taking on the day
and we will give you a copy of all of the pictures we take
so that you con review them as often as you wish to remind
you how each pose will be structured. Obviously there will
be no guests, friends or family during this shoot but it
will help to reassure you of what will be happening on the
day.
If you have any unconventional or surprise
moments planned for your day please make sure that you tell
us as soon as possible so that we can be there to capture
them.
As well as learning how to position your
feet, hips, shoulders, hands and taking best advantage of
your light this is also a dress rehearsal. If you have some
or all of your outfits then this an excellent opportunity
to make sure they fit and look good in the photographs.
When we review the pictures after the practice
shoot, we will also be looking out for skin tones, shine
and other lighting problems and will make suggestions on
how we can best avoid these on the day. We have access to
an exceptionally talented make-up artist who will be only
too pleased to advise on these matters.
